Silent Reading

Your next assignment for silent reading (book of your choice) will consist of 3 parts. You must finish the novel to complete these tasks.

1.  Personal Response - this will follow the normal format of part 1 and 2.  It will be recorded an put on your blog as a pod cast.
2.P-Q-P Memo to the Author - posted on your blog
3.book trailer - posted on your blog

Technology From The Past

You are to explore one technological discovery from the Mesopotamian Civilization. Share the basic information of the discovery, a picture and discuss the enduring contribution of the discovery. You will have one computer class to complete this task.

Your Blog

We are going to be setting up electronic portfolios using blogger. We will be adding work to it throughout the year. If you do not have access to a computer at home don't worry, if you use your class time wisely you will have enough time in class

Task 1: set up a gmail account:

Task 3: Pick a name for your blog - a good name is: ".....portfolio" do not include your last name or any piece of information that could be used to "tracked you down."

Task 4: Pick your design and layout. Remember that the purpose is to highlight your work throughout the year. Stay away from glitz and glamour that will distract the viewer.

Task 5: turn off the nav bar and change the comment moderation. (Help will be provided)

Task 6: Create a logo that represents you. It may be a copyright free picture/clip art or you can create your own using a computer program. this will be posted as a gadget. You will do a very small write up explain why you picked the logo you did. It will be posted as a gadget under your logo.
